Alycya Thomas, born and raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas, is a graduate of Southern Arkansas University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre.
A few of her credits as an actress are Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden in Next to Normal and Squeak in The Color Purple. In the 2023 NSAL National Drama Competition Alycya performed Act 3, Scene 2, from As You Like It by William Shakespeare; Act 2, Scene 1, from Fences by August Wilson; and Act 2, Scene 1, from Appropriation by Brandon-Jacobs Jenkins. Alycya told us that she was truly thankful for the opportunity to represent our chapter and showcase her talent in the national drama competition.
